Open Letter to the minister of Belgan justice Annemie Turtelboom

HELEN.THOMAS.Palestine.White House.jpgFollowing our Open Letter to the Belgian Minister of Justice concerns the detention of activist Marcel Vervloesem, well known for his fight against child pornography (Zandvoort childporn case), we had some problems with our Facebook.

In Belgium there is a cooperation contract between the Internet providers and Justice.

What about the cooperationo of Justice (and state security services) with Facebook?

Photo: Helen Thomas, an American author and former news service reporter. She was member of the White House Press Corps and defended the rights of the Palestinians.
Sometimes ago there was a group called 'Helen Thomas' on Facebook.
This group was not administered. On these group everything seemed possible. For several months some people of this group used false identities; used the identities of other Facebook members; used photos of other Facebook members for pornographic collages; published photos of massacres of Palestinians, commented in the most disgusting way. They deleted posts, comments and photos; replaced them; changed the location of the posts. They had fake accounts and continuously provoked Palestinian activists which responded all the time and whick accounts were closed after certain complaints. It was a real war. The complaints addressed to Facebook about all these things remained untreated. At a given moment we found out that the group was hacked by the so called Jewish Internet Defense Force (JIDF) which has close contacts with the far right political party of Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli minister of Foreign Affairs who was talking about the ethnic cleansing of Israel and promoted the bombing of Iran.
After months of struggle, the group was closed by Facebook.

Marcel Vervloesem and the amazing story of the Werkgroep Morkhoven

Isolatie.akties.pngIsolation cels action

In 1988, a man who came to visit Marcel for a cup of coffee was distressed. His son, placed in a psychiatric institute of the Social Services of Antwerp, was regularly locked up in isolation cell, sometimes for months, who he found inhuman. They went there together. Those cells where naked, without daylight but a violent lamp and the children would be left there alone. The law granted the hospital staff all the rights without least control, from where all freedom of abuse. The doctors would refuse to listen: locking a child in an isolation cells was normal.

Jan Boeykens, an intellectual from Antwerp, was one of the first men in Flanders to become activist of the patient's right in the area of those threatened by their internment in psychiatric institute. As he ran a radio program, he heard that the Werkgroep Morkhoven was making actions to sensitize people on the conditions of the children in psychiatry. He interviewed Marcel, then joined the movement and became the appointed writer of the pamphlets.

Their method was always the same: they drew the attention of people in the streets by making them laugh, and then made them realize the situation. The problematic of the isolation cells arrived at the Ministry for health. The minister Vervotte invited Marcel and Jan and heard them. She asked them to collaborate in the setting of a new law establishing a regulation on the use of isolation cells in the psychiatric institutes, with measures of control aiming at protecting the adults as well as children.

The Werkgroep Morkhoven carried on going to the institute to make sure the law was properly respected. The term "cell" had replaced by "room", and the term "isolation" had been replaced by "reflection”. As a child was previously locked into an isolation cell he was now sent to a reflection room.

The men returned in the streets of Antwerp, distributing their pamphlets. Strangely enough, the police reacted very violently. The men where arrested and interrogated and their houses where searched, as if suddenly the activists of child protection were terrorists. The Social Service carried a formal complaint for slandering against Jan. But the Werkgroep Morkhoven had collected approximately two hundred pages of testimonies and copies of police reports of complaints for ill-treatments, of which, a horrifying number of broken arms and a litle girl aged five years, who had died in a "reflection room".

Dressed in a priest robe, Marcel was followed by four men who carried a small empty coffin. As they arrived at the Law Courts of Antwerp, two other men had climbed on a crane not far from there, to call the crowd and to flood it with pamphlets. The Social Service gave up the proceedings against Jan.

20.000 children sexually abused by 800 Roman Catholic priests in Holland

It is clear that the Catholic Church, even at the highest level, is involved in child abuse.
One may wonder why in Belgium there exists a special committee to handle these cases within the Catholic church discreetly while ordinary people who are accused of pedophilia, are immediately imprisoned, even if there is insufficient evidence of sexual abuse and even if the allegations are intended to hide massive child abuse.

It is also strange that all the court records about sexual abuse were given back to the ecclesiastical authorities , because of 'procedural errors'.  They only speak about a financial compensation.  This may be because in Belgium there is still a close link between the Catholic Church and the Christian Democratic Party which is very powerful and protects child abusers.

There is also much hypocrisy under politicians, politically appointed judges and the government-subsidized (government controlled) press.   For months, politicians of some political parties were talking about 'child abuse within the church' while they themselves or members of their political parti are involved in child abuse.  During years politicians, corrupted judges and press accused Marcel Vervloesem of the association Werkgroep Morkhoven from child abuse while these accusations were purely used to cover up the Zandvoort childporn case (90.000 victims).

Zandvoort childporn case: What is the role of the Royal Palace?

aktie.marcel.vervloesem.koninklijk.paleis.jpgSome days ago the Morkhoven group (Werkgroep Morkhoven) organized actions before the Palace of Justice and the Ministry of justice in Brussels. Actions are also planned in other cities.

Marcel Vervloesem, the man who revealed the Zandvoort childporn case and who is during 14 years prosecuted by Belgian Justice, is actually locked up in prison again.  He was arrested after new false rumours about 'sexual abuse' in the Flemish tabloid Het Nieuwsblad. This tabloid started a media-campaign against the Morkhoven group just on the moment that the Zandvoort case was international news (1998) whereby even Japanese journalists were coming to the little village Morkhoven to report the case.

Four years ago, Marcel Vervloesem was locked up in prison after a media-campaign of 11 years against him and the Morkhoven group, organized by those who want to cover up the Zandvoort case.  Two years ago Vervloesem, who is seriously ill (cancer, heart surgeries, diabetic, kidney patient), was liberated on the condition that he didn't talk the press; that he didn't contact the members of the board of his own association (Morkhoven group) who visited him during 2 years every week in prison; that he didn't work with associations fighting child abuse and that he didn't travel to other countries.

The court of Turnhout consisting also of the judges who covered up the Zandvoort case during the past 14 years, decided that he remains locked up in the prison of Turnhout.  It is clear that these judges want that he dies in prison.

In 1998 the Werkgroep Morkhoven sent a cd-rom of the Zandvoort childporn case (90.000 victims) to the Royal Palace...  The Royal Palace sent it to the minister of Justice.  The Morkhoven-group wrote some years ago to the Royal Palace asking why the cd-rom seemed to be 'disappeared'...

Some years ago, the journalist Gina Bernard-Pardaens who was working for the Belgian Radio and Television, investigated this case with Marcel Vervloesem of the Werkgroep Morkhoven who is  now persecuted during 14 years by Belgian Justice for his revelation of the Zandvoort childporn case (90.000 victims, including babies).  During several months, Gina had phone and internetproblems.  She received several death threats.  Belgacom, the Belgian Communication Multinational, pretented that it could not resolve all these problems and find the anonymous phone-caller.  After problems with her car, Gina was murdered in a so called car incident during the night. Some hours before her death, Jan Boeykens, president of Werkgroep Morkhoven, tried to talk her by phone.  But there was such a horrible noise on the phoneline that he was obliged to stop talking her.  He tried to fax her a letter of the former Belgian Justice Minister Stefaan De Clerck who is one of the politicians responsible for the covering up of the Zandvoort childporn case.  The fax was blocked.  Some weeks before her death, Gina was questioned on a intimidating way during 3 hours by Belgian Justice...
