Syria: Complaints against Turkish government officials

Turkish MP Files Complaint against AKP Government Officials over Policy towards Syria

Sep 25, 2012

ANKARA, (SANA)- Criticism of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government's policy towards Syria from inside Turkey reached high levels with MPs filing complaints against the government officials over its violation of the Turkish constitution and laws in its dealing with Syria.

MP Hurşit Güneş from the Republican People's Party (CHP) filed to the Public Prosecution a complaint against the Turkish Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister, in addition to the Governor of Iskenderun city.

Cumhuriyet newspaper quoted Güneş as saying in a press conference at the CHP HQ that the Turkish government is training gunmen in the Turkish territories, transferring weapons into Syria and providing all forms of aid and support to armed members fighting in Syria.

Güneş presented during the conference photos of Syrian opposition members carrying weapons in Istanbul and pictures of camps where gunmen are being trained in Turkey.

The MP stressed that the AKP government breached Article 92 of the Turkish constitution by deploying foreign military forces on Turkish territory without the Turkish Parliament's approval, saying that this deployment and the interference in the Syrian internal affairs in a way that endangers Turkey's security is a violation of the laws.

Turkish Admiral: Turkish Government Plays the Agent in the War against Syria

For his part, former commander of Turkish Naval Academy, Admiral Turker Erturk, stressed that the US and Israel are behind the events taking place in Syria, considering that the AKP government is playing the agent and tool in the immoral war launched against Syria.

In an article published by the Turkish Aydinlik newspaper, Adm. Erturk said the Turkish territories have turned into a terrorism base with the aim to create the conditions to pave the way for military intervention in Syria and undermine the coexistence through stirring sedition among the Syrian people.

He wondered at Turkey's help to the imperialists despite the obvious fact that fragmenting Syria would lead to the fragmenting of Turkey and inflaming the whole region.

Adm. Erturk said all the illegal practices and measures taken by the Turkish government are in the service of the "Great Middle East" project of the US and Israel.

Sep 20, 2012 - ANTIOCH, (SANA) – Inhabitants of Antioch City in Turkey insisted on staging a peaceful protest in support of Syria and to condemn Turkey's intervention in its internal affairs despite the Turkish authorities' attempt to prevent them and refusal to give permission for them.

The Turkish police blockaded the city and prevented people and cars from entering and reaching the place of gathering as the participants decided to challenge the authorities' refusal to give the permission for their peaceful demonstration against the policy of Erdogan's government against Syria.

Despite the firm Turkish procedures, the protesters succeeded to enter through close crossings and reach the place of gathering.

The participants raised banners which called for toppling the Turkish wali to which the Turkish police responded by firing tear gas and beating them with electric sticks.

In the same context, Turkish political analysts condemned the hostile policy of Premier Recep Tayyib Erdogan against Syria, adding that these government is carrying out a US policy within the framework of the imperialist project which aims at fragmenting the region and destabilizing its security.

The analysts said that harboring the mercenary terrorists on the Turkish territories is a wrong act and it violates the constitution, holding Erdogan's government responsible for shedding the blood of Syrian people.

They stressed that the government did not respect the good-neighborly relations and the fraternity between the Syrian and Turkish people, adding that its polices have negative consequences on the entire country from the inside as well as its relations with the neighboring and influential countries.

Who's responsible for terrorist attacks and the suffering of the Syrian people ?

Obama signed a secret order authorizing U.S. support for Syrian terrorists seeking to depose Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his government.  Obama’s order, approved earlier this year and known as an intelligence “finding,” broadly permits the CIA and other U.S. agencies to provide support that could help the terrorists oust Assad.  C.I.A. officers are operating secretly in southern Turkey. The weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The United States is setting up joint military, intelligence and medical working teams with Israel, Turkey and Jordan.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague said Britain would step up its support for the armed groups in Syria, providing them with an additional £5 million (US$7.8 million). The money is used for bomb attacks in Syria.
